Getting Started
The conception of new life is an amazing event. The midwives of At Home Fertility are honored to work with all types of families, helping you to implement your vision for the first moments of your child's life. We perform intrauterine inseminations for healthy women who have undergone an initial consultation appointment with a qualified fertility specialist and are using frozen or fresh sperm (anonymous, directed donor or partner) to conceive. It’s simple to begin care with us:
1. Call or email us with any questions you may have and to get our new client paperwork.
Email: [email protected] (checked daily)Voicemail: 510.655.2229 (calls returned within 48 hours)
2. Schedule your registration and intake appointment with us.
At this visit we will get a chance to meet before you begin inseminating. We will review your health history, laboratory records and fertility charts, and assist you in developing an insemination plan. If you have not consulted with another fertility specialist we will offer appropriate health screening and discuss strategies for optimizing your fertility. We highly recommend the services of Maia Midwifery and Fertility, both for their holistic approach to increasing fertility and their breadth of knowledge in tracking ovulation.
3. Call or email to get on our calendar when your cycle begins.
Let us know your anticipated ovulation date and your insemination plan. We will call or email to confirm that you are on our calendar.
4. When ovulation approaches, schedule your insemination appointment(s).
When you are more certain of your ovulation window (usually 12-36 hours advance notice), contact the midwife-on-call directly by cell phone for scheduling.
